make money online

It is imperative for all business organizations to exercise discretion in their operations and safeguard all the data pertaining to these operations. Leakage of crucial information can be detrimental for the organization in many ways. Competitors will make use of such vital data. There could be danger to the business even leading to dissolution of the business. Hence, it is very essential to keep confidential facts of every business inaccessible, and under layered safeguards. Fear of misuse or destruction of data is the most pressing concern. Seeking such protection is both lawful and moral.

These threats are posed not only by individuals or competitors, but also by the information systems themselves. By this we mean, the operating systems of an enterprise stand to lose critical facts and figures to malfunctions in the system like viruses, spyware, spamming, etc. The application and usage of the internet cannot be undermined or under-rated in today’s world. So every information and operating system functioning today faces the risk of irreparable damage.

Threats come from all corners such as, unencrypted data in various office locations, new day to day application-level attacks, mismanagement of key infrastructures, poor user authentication, authorization and management, and human configuration errors.

Multi-national corporations, hospitals, defense services, governments, banks and other financial institutions generate volumes of statistics which ought to be protected. To secure such critical and vital records it is important to hire professional services of security providers. State and federal laws are more complex and require constant review for a company to be compliant. For example, following high-profile data security breaches in 2005 at ChoicePoint (where 163,000 records were compromised) and CardSystems (where 40,000,000 records were compromised), many other states used California SB 1386 as a model for developing their own data security breach disclosure laws. Today, 40 states in the country have passed data security breach disclosure laws, each with their own distinct notification requirements.

With different industries, threats can be more or less important. For example, Healthcare companies are responsible for 11% of all data breach incidents in the U.S. between 2000 and 2007. Although educational institutions have a greater number of incidents/records lost, healthcare ranks number two. Government came in 3rd. Education ranks quite high in total number of incidents but only accounts for 2% of all records compromised. Healthcare has a similar number records compromised, but accomplishes it with one third the incidents. So if your industry is under regulations such as HIPAA, you may have to dedicate more resources to information security management.

There are many security services providers one will come across while browsing the internet. It is essential to choose a service provider who will cater to the specific needs of the organization, as the security concerns of a bank will be different from that of hospital or a municipal corporation.

www.kraasecurity.com provides security for all groups seeking to safeguard fundamental and crucial information. KRAA Security is managed by professionals and experts who use their expertise in identifying and framing security solutions, and continuously updating them as per advancements in technology.

Continuous Ink Systems are the revolutionary new ink systems. They are designed to make printing more efficient and effective. In contrast to conventional ink jet printer cartridges, CIS are a bulk feed solution, which means that you get more ink.

Continuous Ink Systems were introduced in 1999, however had a significant growth in the consumer market over the last few years. The Continuous Ink Systems came over the ink jet printers. The problem associated with regular ink jet printer cartridges is the cost. The price of cartridges varies depending on the printer model and brand. However because cartridges contain very little ink – there is very little value.

Continuous ink systems use ink tanks which are designed to sit beside a printer. Due to which Continuous ink systems result in a saving of approximately 90% due to the bulk feed. This means that the consumer can print photos and other media without having to worry about ink usage and the high costs of cartridges. In today’s scenario, people own expensive digital cameras and have the convenience of printing excellent quality image from their homes. CIS finally give consumers the freedom to print their media in an affordable and efficient way.

The price of Continuous Ink Systems has dropped dramatically over the past 2 years as Chinese engineers realized its market potential. As a result Continuous Ink Systems

is the most attractive ink solution on the market.

If you’ve got an inkjet printer, chances are you’ve seen the highly priced genuine ink the manufacturers sell. There a lots and lots of 3rd party companies that make ink for leading manufactures at a fraction of the cost. Because the ink is so cheap, we often get inclined to buy the low-priced ink. Unfortunately, cheap ink will give bad results.

The best solution to this is to buy a continuous ink supply system. Granted the supplier provides quality ink, it’s much cheaper than buying genuine ink and you don’t have the problem of blocked and clogged print heads. The system acts like a giant cartridge by feeding ink to the printer when required.

Sometimes when you got ‘My Documents’ folder getting larger and larger by size, you may want to move it to your other physical drive with more room. Or maybe what you want is just to separate your ‘My Document’ folder from your Windows system file. This second reason actually is a good tip for you to make Windows system accesses more effectively by separating one and another type of partition in which fragmentation do occur frequently due to file alteration. Anyway, you can move ‘My Documents’ location by following these simple steps:

1. Go to your ‘My Documents’ properties by right clicking your ‘My Document icon and select properties. You can find the icon both in your desktop or in Windows explorer.

2. Inside the properties menu, select ‘Move’ option if you have already had documents in your current ‘My Document’ folder and want to merge it with other documents in the target hard drive/partition. This action will also change the location of ‘My Document’ folder. After all is done, the file copy dialog box will appear, this means all of your files are being copied. How long the process itself depends on how much your document and how big it is.

3. Another option is ‘Change’. This is the option if you just want to change the location of ‘My Document’ folder without moving the files inside current location to the new one. But when you choose this option, if in the future you change your mind about not moving the files in the current location, you can always copy the files manually by go to C:Documents and Settings(your account name).

The Cisco ASA firewall appliance provides great security protection out-of-the box with its default configuration. However, to increase the security protection even further, there are several configuration enhancements that can be used to implement additional security features. Two of these features are IP Spoofing protection and basic Intrusion Prevention (IPS) support.

IP Spoofing Protection
IP spoofing attacks are those that change the actual source IP address of packets to obscure their true origin. This means that packets arriving at a particular interface (e.g inside) must have a valid source IP address that matches the correct source interface according to the firewall routing table. Normally the firewall only looks at the destination address of a packet in order to forward it accordingly. If you enable the IP Spoofing mechanism, the firewall checks also the source address of the packets.
If for example our inside interface connects to internal network 192.168.1.0/24, this means that packets arriving at the inside firewall interface must have a source address in the range 192.168.1.0/24 otherwise they will be dropped (if IP Spoofing is configured).
The IP Spoofing feature uses the Unicast Reverse Path Forwarding (Unicast RPF) mechanism, which dictates that for any traffic that you want to allow through the security appliance, the security appliance routing table must include a route back to the source address.

To enable IP Spoofing protection, enter the following command:
CiscoASA5500(config)# ip verify reverse-path interface “interface_name”

For example, to enable IP spoofing on the inside interface, use the following command:
CiscoASA5500(config)# ip verify reverse-path interface inside

Basic IPS Protection
Although the ASA Firewall supports full IPS functionality with an extra IPS hardware module (AIP-SSM), it supports also basic IPS protection which is built-in by default without using an extra hardware module. The built-in IPS feature supports a basic list of signatures and you can configure the security appliance to perform one or more actions on traffic that matches a signature. The command that implements the basic IPS feature is called “ip audit”.
There are two signature groups embedded in the firewall software: “Informational” and “Attack” signatures. You can define an IP audit policy for each signature group as following:

For informational signatures:
CiscoASA5500 (config)# ip audit name “name” info [action [alarm] [drop] [reset]]

For attack signatures:
CiscoASA5500 (config)# ip audit name “name” attack [action [alarm] [drop] [reset]]
The keywords [alarm], [drop], [reset] define the actions to perform on a malicious packet that matches one of the signatures. [alarm] generates a system message showing that a packet matched a signature, [drop] drops the packet, and [reset] drops the packet and closes the connection.

After defining an IP audit policy (IPS policy) as shown above, we need to attach the policy to a specific interface:
CiscoASA5500(config)# ip audit interface “interface_name” ” policy_name”

Let’s see an actual example:
CiscoASA5500 (config)# ip audit name dropattacks attack action drop CiscoASA5500 (config)# ip audit interface outside dropattacks

Download the best configuration tutorial for any Cisco ASA 5500 Firewall model Here.

It may not just be malicious attackers who cause problems. If you don’t change the defaults of your wireless network, a neighbor with the same router make and model might accidentally connect to your network, stealing your bandwidth or reconfiguring your router and network without your knowledge.

Fear not, though. There’s plenty you can do to protect yourself.

1)Change your administrator password

Before you do anything else, change the administrator password on your router. Every model of router comes preconfigured with a standard password, and hackers know this. So it’s exceedingly easy for someone to hop onto your network, gain full control over its administrative rights and wreak havoc.

2)Stop broadcasting your network’s SSID and change its name

Your service set identifier (SSID) is your network’s name, and if people know what your SSID is, it’s easier for them to find your network and connect to it. Your router broadcasts its SSID, and that broadcast tells passersby there’s a network there. It also gives out the name. So, if you turn off SSID broadcasting, you’ll go partway toward keeping casual users from seeing your network. But doing that, by itself, won’t necessarily solve the problem. Even if you stop broadcasting your network’s name, people might still be able to connect to your network. That’s because manufacturers generally ship their wireless routers with the same generic SSID. So, even if you stop broadcasting your SSID, intruders can easily guess your router’s name and log on. To solve the problem, first change your SSID’s name, and then hide it

3)Enabling encryption

Wi-Fi networks are incredibly convenient and incredibly easy to spy upon. All that data going out over the air among your PCs and between your PCs and the Internet can easily be snooped on by anyone nearby using simple, off-the-shelf software such as packet sniffers. Using encryption is the single most important step to protect your home or small office network.

4)Protect yourself using MAC addresses

Another way to protect your wireless network is to allow only certain computers to connect, and ban all others. To do that, you’ll filter by Media Access Control (MAC) addresses and so you’ll be able to tell your router to allow only specific MAC addresses onto the network and keep all others off.

5)Turn off your network when you’re not using it

This simple precaution can go a very long way toward keeping you safe: Simply turn off your router when you’re not using your network. The less time your wireless network is available, the less likely it is to get hacked.

6)Checking for wireless intruders

You can never be too safe, and so even if you’ve taken all this advice, it’s a good idea to check your network to see if intruders have made their way in. And if you haven’t taken all this advice, that’s all the more reason to check.

Even if you’re protecting your network, you may not go far enough. For example, you may use easily crackable Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption rather than the more powerful Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA). If you’re still not convinced, I will give you five reasons to take the extra effort to protect your Wi-Fi network, whether it’s a small one at home or part of a larger, enterprise network.

Reason No. 1: You may be helping criminals unwittingly

There’s a new type of wireless piggybacker out there, people looking for a convenient, unprotected Wi-Fi network to hop onto in order to do something illegal, quasi-legal or just downright nasty. They won’t be breaking in to your PCs, but they’ll be using your bandwidth and IP address for committing cyber crimes.

Reason No. 2: Wireless is the weakest link in an enterprise

You may use high-powered security in your core enterprise network, but if you’ve got even a single, poorly protected wireless access point somewhere, you’re at risk. Invaders intent on stealing customer records or private data or merely doing mischief can easily make their way from that single access point right into the heart of your network. And if you’re a large company, it could cost you millions of dollars.

Reason No. 3: The recording industry may sue you

As we all know, for the past several years, the recording and entertainment industry has used the courts to sue many people who the industry claims were illegally sharing or downloading copyrighted music and other digital files.

But what’s less well known is that they’re also trying to convince the courts that even if someone uses your network and does the illegal download, you should be liable for the copyright infringement. Which means you’ll have to hire a lawyer or get ready to pay through the nose.

Reason No. 4: Unwanted use of your bandwidth

The most basic rule of networking is that no matter your upload and download speeds, they’re not fast enough. So how would you like sharing your measly bandwidth with strangers and neighbors, especially those who want to suck up all your bandwidth by downloading multigigabyte movies?

Reason No. 5: It may lead to identity theft

If someone gains access to your home or small-office wireless network, they may be able to gather enormous amounts of information about you. Do you store any personal or financial records on a PC attached to your network? If so, they’re at risk if you don’t take the right precautions. So if you worry about identity theft or simply don’t want someone poking around your PCs, make sure to turn on protection.

The world is seeing a revolution. A revolution, which is spreading across the whole world in a silent yet a very strong manner. This revolution is taking place in the domain
of communication and is soon posed to assume gigantic proportions. One of the major conducive elements of this revolution is the internet. Internet is very fast becoming one of the most trusted modes of communication all across the world. The nations and regions that were considered inaccessible till a few years back can now be reached through this medium. The power of internet is still in its nascent stages. The passage of time is only going to see it become more and more efficient and omnipresent. The crowning glory has been the easy accessibility of wi-fi hotspot gateways. Now there are many companies that allow various businesses to provide the internet service to the common man.

These companies now allow the businesses and other organizations to give access to the wi-fi hotspot gateways to their customers. Be it a small time coffee shop or an internet café, everybody can make the services of hotspot gateway available to the customers either free or at some cost. An important fact about these companies is that they allow the business that is providing the wi-fi hotspot gateway service to the customers to do it using their own brand.

Even the hotspot gateway can be made available at no cost to the business. There is no need to sign any monthly charging or revenue sharing agreement with the company. All the profit that the business makes by providing the internet service to their customers can now be retained by the business. There is no need to pay any amount to the company that provides the software.

Research shows that as much as 13% of training is accounted for by online training methods. This is another trend noticed in computer training methodologies these days. Read on to know some of the other trends that has hit this segment.

Delivery modes transforming

Most corporate computer training is today focusing on people within the organization imparting training. Unlike earlier, where external faculty or qualified trainers would come to train, today more and more in-house bosses are doing the job. However, while they maybe experts in their niche subject domains, the method of delivery is sorely lacking. Since these persons have not been qualified to impart effective training and teaching, it is only a half-hearted approach. In order to improve on this aspect, external trainers are imparting computer training skills like communication, locating resources, design as well as development of training modules and much more, to the in-house bosses.

Self study another trend

Many online classrooms that deal with computer training have live instructors doing the job. However, this is on a remote basis. Many people have found learning during their job more fulfilling and comprehensive as opposed to theoretical classroom based teaching. It is because such a technique focuses on practical application of tactics learnt during the computer training program. Many even prefer CDs and other self learning tools to learn more about computers. Both the intranet within an organization as well as internet online tutorials is expected to grow as media of instruction.

Individual learners

Unlike earlier days when computer training was imparted to a group of people, today more and more people want individual attention and training. This has led to a diversification in the design of such training programs. Various techniques like facilitated sessions, lateral job movements, cross training, increasing work assignments, reading etc. are now growing as new-age techniques in computer training methodologies.

Just in time training

This is another emerging trend in the segment of computer training . Training these days is being provided as and when the employee needs it. Instead of earlier methodologies, which focused on imparting training months beforehand, these days the training is provided in a response to employee need. So, if an employee requires training in Java before a new project comes, it makes more sense because he or she can now apply the new lessons learnt in the training.

Courses with instructions

Another trend in the segment of computer training for corporate organizations is to opt for courses of high quality that are led by instructors. This helps facilitate an enterprise solution that is applicable throughout the company. The best thing about these courses is that training can be imparted on every employee’s desktop.

Access to updated resources

Today’s computer training focuses on self-help tutorials that are updated with updated research material. Employees can thus access the latest information through a library of all the reference materials and resources a person needs. This is a powerful training model, which facilitates ready access to tools and materials for easy learning. In addition, companies are able to save more on training costs and cut down on training timelines as well.
